Timing Chain Oiler
With the gear off you can see the tube which supplies oil to the timing gears. Remove the small bolt which holds it in place. Keep the two together for future use.
Front Plate
Next the steel plate which holds the front motor mount is removed. Once off, the crankshaft can be lifted up and out. All of the bolts/screws which hold the plate are visible from the front, except the one circled in white.
Front Plate Screw
This screw is actually attached from inside the oil pan. Don't try to pull the plate until it is out or you may bend the plate, causing an oil leak upon reassembly.
Front Plate Screw Inside
Inside the pan area it is easy to see the screw is part of the front seal assembly. Unscrew all of the mounting screws and pull off the front plate and seal assembly.
